Pinecone

A lattice of small diamonds turning around an open, round field at the centre. Seven strips in each half, cut as long even curves without a single corner. The halves mirror each other, so there is only one template. The curves are simple to cut, but the lattice leaves the strips narrow across the middle, so use firm paper.
