St Andrew's cross
by Hans H. Koch · 3 × 3 strips
Publisher: Børnenes Magasin· Date: 1 Dec 1916· Source: aldus.dk/hanskoch/julehjerter.php
A cross whose four arms widen towards the edge and meet round a small white square in the middle. Three strips in each half; both cuts are straight with two bends, so the middle strip narrows like an hourglass. The halves mirror each other, so one template covers both, and the difficulty is easy. Cut the bends sharply so that the arms meet exactly at the corners of the white square. From the architect Hans H. Koch's Christmas hearts in Børnenes Magasin 1916, where it is called Jernkorset, the Iron Cross.
