Stjernegitter

by Thomas Ahle & Claude · 7 × 7 strips

Red four-pointed stars on white, built from the square and the 45-degree rhomb of the octagonal Ammann–Beenker tiling. Seven strips in each half, every cut straight but zigzagging. The halves mirror each other, and one template covers both. It is an expert job with many turns; cut the zigzags with a ruler so the points of the stars meet exactly.
