Engel

A classic angel motif: a white angel with spread wings on a red ground. Only three strips in each half, but three quarters of the cuts are curves that shape the wings, the gown and the head. The halves mirror each other, and one template covers both. Few, wide strips make the weaving quick; it is the curves around the head that need the steadiest hand.
