Venus

The sign of Venus, a circle with a cross beneath it, drawn in thin lines inside a round frame and surrounded by small checks. Seven strips in each half, and a third of the cuts are curves. The halves mirror each other, so there is only one template. The lines of the symbol are narrow next to the strip width, and they are what makes this an expert heart; use firm paper so they do not tear while weaving.
